Administered compliance team over 10 Initial Product Inspections (IPI) for UL, ULC and ISO life-saving products in the United States and China facilities for many procured OEM customers. Masterful knowledge and implementation of Operating standards in the following paths; Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS); UL1180 (All type approvals) specifications, Hybrid PFD's; 2F Auto, 6F auto inflators, 3F manual, 6F manual inflators, ISO12402; and UL/ISO oral tubes projects.
Clearing audit findings: During Pre-IPI in house inspections, before every UL conducted audits. He inherited more than 10 significant audit points that needed to be quickly addressed. To do so, he established a process to resolve the enumerated issues. He devised, built and piloted a new quality program and checks, making all teams following the process inherently compliant.
Gained control of vendors: Of the vast raw materials delivery community vendors. There were myriad of contracts, inconsistent deliveries and inflated pricing. He spearheaded the establishment of criteria to hold vendors accountable for the quality of their deliverables. Established a consistent delivery approach and quality expectations. Implemented process that cut number of vendors down when possible.
Risk Assessment: Analysis is vital to make sure the designed product does not introduce undue level of risk after manufacture. With a good business sense and an understanding of how decisions impact the business.
